Advanced Processing Technology of Electrochromic Windows: A process to develop new film patterning techniques for energy-saving smart windows. The process improves visible light transmission and reduces glare, while retaining a clear view and increasing thermal comfort. Also, encouraging innovation with window window coverings and shades to help increase energy savings.

An Indirect Route for Ethanol Production: A process to develop fuel ethanol from renewable resources to achieve savings of 80 percent in energy consumption. The process helps U.S. farmers create a market for corn supplies and increases national energy security.

Manufacturing Ceramic Products from Fiberglass Waste: A low-cost energy method of completely transforming fiberglass waste into a dense ceramic product that can be used for window window treatments, shades, as well as other uses. The process could eliminate the need for disposal of 260,000 tons of fiberglass waste annually.

Near-Infrared (NIR) Veneer Strength Sensor for Forest Industry: Use of NIR sensors instead of ultra-sonic technology allows testing for veneer wood strength before drying. The NIR technology will improve process efficiency and reduce product waste, and is expected to save about $23,000 annually in energy costs.

The Force Modulator: A durable sheet metal technology for the steel industry that allows proper control of press forces during part forming.

In situations where the contractor will be installing window treatments and the agency needs assistance in performing measurements, it is the obligation of the contractor to take on-site measurements. Requests for on-site measurements should be forwarded to the contractor in writing, with the using agencys purchase order number, to be confirmed once the actual measurements are complete and the estimate finalized. A purchase order should result in all instances, unless the estimate exceeds budgetary allowances. Any abuse of this service by agencies should be reported to the contract administrator.

All requests for measurements should be made in written form by the using agency. The State will not be responsible for and misunderstandings that results from oral requests.

Violence Prevention for San Jose Sharks Jersey

Dr. Walker, prevention specialist for Texas’ juvenile corrections agency, presented the research to an international audience of leaders in professional sports at the invitation of the 1998 Ice San Jose Sharks Apparel World Sharks Apparelship International Symposium on Medicine and Science in Ice NHL Jerseys, in Zurich, Switzerland.

The violence prevention research provides new evidence of both statistical and practical significance. At the highest level of competition, teams playing with more violence are not more likely to win; in fact, the opposite is true. In a study of 1,462 recorded penalties from all 18 Stanley Cup San Jose Sharks Jerseyship Final Series from 1980 to 1997, teams playing with less violence were more likely to win and averaged more than seven more shots on goal per game than teams that played with more violence. THE SIX BASIC GUN SAFETY RULES

There are six basic gun safety rules for gun owners to understand and practice at all times:

1. Treat all Airsoft gun as if they are loaded. Always assume that a gun is loaded even if you think it is unloaded. Every time a gun is handled for any reason, check to see that it is unloaded. If you are unable to check a gun to see if it is unloaded, leave it alone and seek help from someone more knowledgeable about electric Airsoft guns.

2. Keep the gun pointed in the safest possible direction. Always be aware of where a gun is pointing. A “safe direction” is one where an accidental discharge of the gun will not cause injury or damage. Only point a gun at an object you intend to shoot. Never point a gun toward yourself or another person.

3. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot. Always keep your finger off the trigger and outside the trigger guard until you are ready to shoot. Even though it may be comfortable to rest your finger on the trigger, it also is unsafe. If you are moving around with your finger on the trigger and stumble or fall, you could inadvertently pull the trigger. Sudden loud noises or movements can result in an accidental discharge because there is a natural tendency to tighten the muscles when startled. The trigger is for firing and the handle is for handling.

4. Know your target, its surroundings and beyond. Check that the areas in front of and behind your target are safe before shooting. Be aware that if the bullet misses or completely passes through the target, it could strike a person or object. Identify the target and make sure it is what you intend to shoot. If you are in doubt, DON’T SHOOT! Never fire at a target that is only a movement, color, sound or unidentifiable shape. Be aware of all the people around you before you shoot.

5. Know how to properly operate your gun. It is important to become thoroughly familiar with your gun. You should know its mechanical characteristics including how to properly load, unload and clear a malfunction from your gun. Obviously, not all Airsoft guns are mechanically the same. Never assume that what applies to one make or model is exactly applicable to another. You should direct questions regarding the operation of your gun to your firearms dealer, or contact the manufacturer directly.

6. Store your gun safely and securely to prevent unauthorized use. Air soft guns and ammunition should be stored separately. When the gun is not in your hands, you must still think of safety. Use a California-approved firearms safety device on the gun, such as a trigger lock or cable lock, so it cannot be fired. Store it unloaded in a locked container, such as a California-approved lock box or a gun safe. Store your gun in a different location than the ammunition. For maximum safety you should use both a locking device and a storage container.
